Strategic Book Group Receives Retraction From Sun Newspaper

The UK Sun issued a retraction of erroneous statements run in a story about an SBG book, validating SBG’s stand that there was no factual basis to Mr. Crick’s statement that six year old Leo Hunter received a 23 book deal with the company.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – Dec 06, 2010 – December 6, 2010 -- Durham, Ct. -- The UK Sun has issued a retraction of erroneous statements run in Andy Crick’s story about the SBG book, Me and My Best Friend, validating SBG’s stand that there was no factual basis to Mr. Crick’s statement that six year old Leo Hunter received a 23 book deal with the company.

On Thursday, December 2, 2010, The Sun clarified “that a contract was signed with Leo’s mother” rather than with the child, and “for only one title, Me and My Best Friend.” As Strategic Book Group had stated, Leo Hunter’s mother herself wrote the book, which she penned under the name J.S. Huntlands. Ms. Hunter dedicated the book to her son, Leo, in hopes he would never forget his canine best friend.  SBG published the book at no cost to the author. The Sun added, “We are happy to set the record straight.”

Strategic Book Group has accepted the retraction and will seek no further redress.
